"Soft Adult Contemprary" such as Heart FM would play artists like Ronan Keating, Paloma Faith, Daniel Powter, Honey Rider ect. "Adult Contemporary" such as BBC Radio 2 would play artists like MIKA, Beach Boys, Pet Shop Boys ect.

  4. Explain how the choice of music would affect profits of a commercial radio station. If the same song/artist is playing on a regular basis, listeners will get bored and change channel to another station. Therefore the station will lose listeners and the commercials will lose money.
  5. Explain some technicques in music programming to keep the listener interested?Main way to keep listeners entertained is to not play the same kind of music over and over because they'll go listen somewhere else. this is why radio stations use ABC playlists because it gives a wide variety of music to play to keep people listening to your radio station.
